As you can see, almost all >fields in the structure are unclear to me. Forte is working on a document/programming examples on how to use the patches and MIDI with the GUS. When they are ready we'll release them. The GUS SDK doesn't go into much detail about patches (PATCH.H) which is why we are working on a more comprehensive document. John --- ~ QMPro 1.02 05-8925 ~ Press "+" to see another tagline. I think it is a very good move from Forte/Gravis. Could you (John Smith) tell me when the more comprehensive document will come out? By the way, after hacking around a little bit more, now I understand how to interpret "envelope_rate", "envelope_offset", and "modes" fields in PATCH.H and now my program is able to produce the sound from a patch file through my GUS card. If anybody is interested in using my code, I'm willing to share it. My code is not yet complete, and I'm still adding more features to it. Happy GUS hacking, Hans. ------------------------------ End of GUS Programmer's Digest V2 #21 ************************************* To post to tomorrow's digest: To (un)subscribe or get help: To contact a human (last resort): FTP sites: archive.epas.utoronto.ca pub/pc/ultrasound wuarchive.wustl.edu systems/msdos/ultrasound Hints: - Get the FAQ from the FTP sites or the request server. - Mail to for info about other GUS related mailing lists (UNIX, OS/2, GUS-MIDI, etc.)
